I hate that interacting with this person I used to love interacting with is now a massive landmine field. It really hurts that this landmine field has only shown up _now_, long since I've already been hurting them with my carelessness, and now I'm deep in the thick of it with no good way out.

I have no idea how to make any of this better :/

I am _so frustrated_ about the state of interactions with myself and A. I really, really wish they had communicated what they have now, months ago; and I really wish I could have heard it as clearly as they thought they were transmitting. And now the interpersonal relationship is in deep dysfunctional disrepair and I really just don't even know how to handle this anymore.

I really really like Mastodon's UI vs. Twitter. Representing DMs as private toots interspersed with your normal timeline really helps the ephemeral nature of communication here, as opposed to Twitter, where DMs are off in their own little world. I really like the fact that I come back to a clean slate every morning.
