(i mostly set this up to play around with @Nodocchi's dos and win16 shenanigans!)

it's actually pretty usable! and with dosidle, it doesn't take up 100% cpu

though if you do anything graphical, like run windows, or render things to the screen in qbasic, you need to switch to vnc

it would be so cool it you could use sixel with qemu so it would all work without! (i wonder how hard it would be to compile the sdl backend to work with the package?)

(as if i wasn't already looking for an excuse to use something entirely too elaborate)

fun motivation fact: if you mentally prepare to phone 5 places, you can, in fact, get 5 answering machines and need something entirely too elaborate to dump all of those ideas

spent all day making a giant interconnected mind map in org roam so that i'll be entirely too prepared to talk to a therapist

@SomeEgrets@meow.social hell yeah! hot mink bunny collabo year

happy year of the bnuy for those who celebrate!

@SomeEgrets@meow.social oh! flappy new year..!

@lyncia @deejvalen it's free on phones too!

it's teeeechnically ad supported, but i don't think there's any that aren't exclusively opt-in for doing stuff like if you reaaaally want to revive a run (which are usually pretty short anyway)

other than that, it really is just the full game! (which is both pretty simple, but also actually super fun)

@SirTapTap you know that glitch in super mario world where if you overlap yourself into a block's hitbox and bop it the right way, how it creates another one?

wireframe vector bunny aesthetic

@cort holy heck!

i saw someone ask if AoC had minimum system requirements, and i feel like this might just be the most aesthetic answer imaginable

I have a coworker at Unity who's been wiping the floor with all of us with his compact, efficient #adventofcode solutions. What makes it especially galling is that he's doing it all on a 16 MHz 386SX, using Borland Turbo C++ 3.0. Even his write-up looks like a Wayback Machine snapshot of an early-90s Geocities homepage: clb.confined.space/aoc2022/

Go, be impressed!

the last two advent of code years can basically be summed up as me using this specific thing in clojure in about a hundred different ways

so the fact it exists in elisp is actually a big deal for me!
