@pup_hime those expose more ports on the back. i dont want ports on the back i want them on the front where i can access them easily

@knightly666 @cinnamon (looking at my current parts list, with a radeon rx6700xt 12gb) okay, noted

a couple of pc build questions:

- ddr5 ram: is there a meaningful difference between 6000 and 6400 MHz

- is overclocking still a thing that gives practical and noticeable improvements in performance these days or are the added power draw and build stipulations not worth it anymore

- when did case manufacturers decide that wanting more than two usb ports on the case front panel was a trap laid by satan and was never to be entertained

@doubleDensity oh i haven't even gotten to the actual assembly yet, im just trying to get a satisfactory parts list

@efi the only art program the catholic church allows you to use

@EvaAndroid THANK YOU none of it is mine though, my friends did all of it, it's so good

@pup_hime @noiob tbh i just said 5150 because thats one i know the name of, i just like the idea of having one of those cases that looks like an exploded robot and booting it up and it's actually just some 40 year old retro machine inside

@pup_hime to be loved is to be changed

i just think it would be funny tbh

never has an image so perfectly summed up taking a break from making comics

i wonder if you could put an ibm 5150 motherboard into a modern gaming pc case

@Kurt github literally has a function specifically for this, if your repo is on github then there is no excuse

@cinnamon @knightly666 i was gonna get a 3060 8gb, because my impression was that the 3060 12gb usually runs into other bottlenecks before the vram becomes a concern. im guessing the rx 66xx line doesnt have issues like that?

@CobaltVelvet@octodon.social brb scheduling a picatinny orchiectomy

@knightly666 @cinnamon so do you have any recommendations for an amd card that's comparable in price point and/or performance to the $240 rtx 3060 i'm looking at?
