@richardgoodness @Resulka @awesomonster @flitterbatflutterbat@mastodon.social even if a little finicky, there's an account import/export feature that you can use to get most of the accounts
it depends on where you go though as sometimes you'll lose contacts if you go somewhere that doesn't federate with them
also as far as juggling accounts goes, you go to the actual domain - like I'm on awoo.space - that's the actual domain name - so it depends on yr client

I recommend checking out https://joinmastodon.org - there's a lot of good tools there, and it's an official source for jumping in!
@Resulka @awesomonster @richardgoodness anyway, mastodon.social is the flagship instance - there are tons of instances out there (I run awoo.space with a motley crew) - mention people from different instances you just type @<username>@<instancename> - the username space is unique to each instance, so people can potentially have a different handle across networks, or the same handle can be different people!
