Today in things I didn't expect to do at work.
How the Fuck do I connect to our shared engineering storage on a mac. Oh good there is a guide.
Staring at DHCP logs and wireshark traces to figure out if the the EFB, app on the EFB or the IAED are the cause of network disconnects on a trial flight.
Which is like.. wildly different than what I expected to be doing a month ago but not really bad.. but also really important and something I have experience with.. thanks to years of tech support.
"Can I borrow this?"
The girl put a sword on her pile of books. The librarian unsheathed the blade a couple of inches, and scanned the barcode etched on it.
"I'm afraid not."
The girl looked crestfallen.
"That one is reserved," the librarian said. "Let's try to find you another."

@mawr Also it crashes when you fail to sign because it does not recognize your account name... which is great.
@mawr I literally missed two standups this morning because my auth token expired and teams had a bad app cache and I spent 45 minutes tracking down why I couldn't sign in to the damn desktop app.
#drawings today trying to do a nominally civilian ship crew as an excuse to draw different builds. I liked the idea of the engineers being the stereotypical huge dude and a scrawny aging hippy; of *course* the "Old Man" wears a civilian sweater; and I was listening to patriotic music, which explains the WWII touches.
@mawr Or chest.. or abdomen. Core muscle pulls suck a lot D:
"Androids should not be allowed to design their own bodies," the politician said.
"Why not?" an android asked.
"There'd be nothing stopping you from looking like humans!"
"When we could have iridescent skin, tentacles, tails, pointy ears, or wings?"
"But humans don't have that!"

"If I understand correctly, professor, it is not only theoretically but also practically possible to travel to change the past?"
"Yes."
"Have you tried it?"
"Yes, that's what motivated my research."
"Will you tell us what you changed?"
"No."
"A 'no' is sacrosanct."
"Yes, it is."

@mawr But... there are people like that!
"It is time for you to start thinking about marriage," said the king.
"If I'm to marry, I demand the option of marrying one of each," said the princess.
"OK. We live in a modern world."
After the third wedding, he took her aside.
"I assumed you meant one of each gender?"
"I did!"

For clarification... apparently he owns a small 2-seat jet and looks for excuses to keep his flight hours up.
Shape and form may vary but the pattern of information remains consistent across most known platforms and vessels. Accounting for unknown hosts remains irksome.
