You know, I'm a little ahead on work and got some time to kill. I haven't done in a while. Ask me some questions. Weird ones.

@zebratron2084 If you could add one mystery for people to discover in our solar system, what would it be?

@Aradia Real alien monolith. Covered in glyphs. Totally asemic, no answers. Give civilization something magical to guess about for millennia.

@zebratron2084 Assuming a complete latexification and depersonalization vacation were offered to you, consequence-free, for the duration of your choosing:

What method would be your preferred route of transformation? How would you like it to happen? Assume that after consent is reached, a mind-wipe of the arrangement and planning could be performed, if desired. Or, things could proceed immediately right then and there.

(Might be projecting a bit on this one, for which I apologize...)

@Phorm Alien abduction all the way. Maybe noctural/somnabulistic attraction by some kind of psi-beacon out in the woods, just sort of get dreamily autopiloted out to some blinking podlet that invites me to step into its hatch.

@zebratron2084

if you could have your ideal body, but it would become a mass production commercially available thing would you take it

@001zlnv Absolutely. Not even an issue. I can't think of a single non-virtual, non-online, non-textual time in my life that I've WANTED to stand out in a crowd. If huge numbers of people looked as artificial as me and we were distinguishable only by serial number, yeah, that would be pretty much optimal.

@zebratron2084 What's the weirdest fact you can think of about the space program?

Do you have a favorite cartoon, and if so which one?

@Leucrotta Single favorite is hard, but I'll always have a soft spot for Stevie and Zoya. youtube.com/watch?v=vo19qujXbn

I've never been a space buff. I've always felt like we should fix our problems here first, and prove we can be anything other than parasitic to a habitable world.

I've always been amused by the Stanley Kubrick moon landing conspiracy theory, though. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moon_lan

This whole story, too:

Also, look up "12-571-3570".

@zebratron2084 Wow. So basically this idea of a math error is so emotionally appealing that it persists and iterates despite no actual *event*. That's a thing...

@zebratron2084

you are given the chance to make one movie in the style of a muppet movie (1-3 human actors, the rest puppets, with musical numbers) what story do you do?

Incoming communication from the Galactic Amalgamation of Dominant and Zany Omnipresent and Omniscient Killer Sentients

@zebratron2084

Congratulations! You have been selected by the GADZOOKS for an important mission of utmost significance.

The planet designated "EARTH" has been deemed hazardous to the galactic order due to an infestation of "HUMANITY". As such, the GADZOOKS hereby charge you with remedying the situation in an appropriately villainous and/or dismissively evolved manner. Your performance will be judged according to: Irony, creativity, efficiency, and self-indulgence.

Please submit your plan for the eradication, repurposing, or temporal sundering of "HUMANITY" in whatever detail you see fit, and the GADZOOKS will review your proposal at length.

Thank you, and have a Galactically evil day!

re: Incoming communication from the Galactic Amalgamation of Dominant and Zany Omnipresent and Omniscient Killer Sentients

@Phorm Is... is this a prank call? You don't need me, sister. I've been watching them for 44 years—you could basically hit 'em with a feather at this point. They've got a massive flaw in their cognitive systems that makes them incredibly prone to self-destruction over totally imaginary threats. AND they have nuclear weapons.

Now, if you want a proposal, the real future is in finding a useful purpose for them. I've got this little group of test subjects I've been priming with memes about hive consciousness, industrial-scale reprogramming, and even self-rubberization so they'll wipe clean. We could have one in every galactic household. But I've already given away far too much for free. Let's talk.

@zebratron2084 What aspect of yourself do you never get enough chances to play or exhibit?

@Austin_Dern The two extremes. The unicorn doesn't get much time anymore, and neither does the monster.

It's been a long time since I've been emotionally intimate with a fellow sentimentalist. Peggy is a perfect specimen of dragon: kind, wise, serene, and witty. She's also spiky, and I have to maintain a certain amount of spikiness in order to get along with her. It actually works really well for me, since I tend towards spiky, but I don't get to let my guard down and be sentimental much...

@Austin_Dern On the other hand, I got really few opportunities to play out the OTHER end of my personality. I love horror, especially cosmic and psychological horror, and I have some DARK fantasies. I rarely shared them with anybody, since most of my friends just aren't into that stuff and I was always terrified of turning them off. But some part of me would love an excuse to be somebody's full-fledged apocalyptic nightmare in a playspace that's explicitly OK for it.

@zebratron2084 I'm a bit relieved to have proof that we are different people. My dark side, apart from snarky passive-aggressive comments, is about as nightmarish as one of those Casper the Friendly Ghost comics where he has to help the cartoonist finish making the book.

But, goodness, does your dragon ever sound like the one whose I was.

Hope you can get to unicorn with overflowing sentimentality soon, though. Would be nice to know a noninflatable unicorn I was happy to see.

@Austin_Dern I think you'll like the spikepony or two that'll be showing up in Parallax. ^___^ Noa is pretty much Noelle with her serial numbers rubbed off.

@zebratron2084 Still Tuesday your time zone I think so ...

A reverse of depersonalization: if one personality trait of any person, alive or dead, could be fused at that intensity into your personality, what trait of what person would you want it to be?

@Austin_Dern This one took a while. Dorothy Parker's verbal armaments. I was gonna answer it in song form, but damned if I can find a copy of "Me & Dorothy" by the Flash Girls online. ;___;
