while reading the wikipedia list of fictional disease, i discovered that the star wars universe has a zombie plague in it and now i am absolutely fucking done with both star wars and zombies forever
@hystericempress @zebratron2084 Agree. I did a zombie rpg campaign once - it was short and explicitly themed like an 80s zombie movie, and I think that did just about everything I ever needed to do with zombies. It was wacky, it was a little gross, then it finished.
@zebratron2084 reiterating my opinion that since the official movies after Ep VI all feel a little like (pricey and very well executed) fanfic, anything other than the original trilogy is as canon as you want it to be and you can gleefully discard anything you hate.
@zebratron2084 as someone who actually enjoys both horror and space opera: I've never liked zombies as a generic antagonist type, mostly because unless you go full-bore wacky with them like the 80s Day of the Dead, there's really nothing you can... DO with them.
