@JulieSqveakaroo it's... it's different when you and your friends aren't made of rubber
re: cafe, snark
OK, actually, this guy totally won me over with one line: "I honestly don't mind if you fuck up... as long as you have a recovery plan." That's a pretty good boss, honestly.
Still ~10% sure about the head fridge. >;D
cafe, snark
Nothing complements the chill atmosphere of a studyroom like a high-pressure job interview.
I'm about 90% sure this guy is hiring for Dorsia. I'm about 20% sure his refrigerator is full of human heads.

Untitled Goose Wargame
@Leucrotta This does actually kinda feel CVB-adjacent somehow, maybe closer to David Lowery's other band Cracker which is a little less folky and a little harder...
Watched Infinity Train with Peg and was quite impressed. Basically, imagine Adventure Time crossed with the horror film The Cube, only (unlike Adventure Time) concise, and (unlike Cube) actually good. A little heavy handed on the coming-of-age allegory and a little light on the exposition, but the ultra-loose continuity worked for me and left me a little less worried about similar traits of Parallax. Definitely looking forward to Season 2.
Also, @mawr should note there's a Corgi King in it.
re: General life -
@mmsword Oh, fuck. Speedy recovery from all of the above, hun.
parallax, famous terfs, useful idiots, terrible ideas
So I smarted off to notorious TERF/mediocre sitcom producer Graham Linehan a week ago, challenging his knowledge about the actual genetics of gender.
I unexpectedly received a reply today, from both him and a toadie of his, challenging me to a debate. It went exactly as expected: I kept asking them to start talking genetics and they kept calling me names.
But something interesting happened. Graham made a remark like "oh, you're one of those furries," the first person in ages to do so. And I had a moment of that old reflexive fear—what if he retweets me to his huge audience and tries to make me into a laughing stock?
And then it dawned on me: it would be PERFECT. Yes, world's most famous and closely scrutinzed TERF, retweet me to an audience that consist largely of transpeople waiting to see what bigoted thing you'll say next! Drive them to my Twitter userinfo, to see the link to my queer comic!
I decided not to push it, because frankly they were just too annoying to be worth the trouble, the comic's not quite ready IMHO, and I'm not in the mood for the attention right now. But it's good to know that when the time comes... easy PR is there for the plucking. 🤣
@Aradia Yikes, hope everybody's okay!
re: style goals
@hummingrain And one more in a string of "love interests" that Adventure Time got COMPLETELY RIGHT as human beings, women whose lives didn't need to revolve around the hero... Her touch-and-go relationship with Finn is a thing of absolute spiky perfection.
@hystericempress That... that actually feels really good to know. =(❤️).(❤️)=
believe it or not, this is important (uspol adjacent, what the fuck is the matter with society adjacent)
re: style goals
@Leucrotta Adventure Time, S3 onward.

"Fear of softness is what drove me to the mad and sad world of wizarding." Heh. I'm laughcrying here.
