Holy fuck, they're still going. "Rudie Can't Fail" I think they're like 35 Clash songs in. Now that's the kind of commitment and monomania I respect, though I would love to see them break the monotony with, I dunno, some English Beat or something--the same way John Mulaney notoriously broke up his "What's New Pussycat" marathon with precisely one round of "It's Not Unusual."

This morning started with outing a trollbot, observing a serene dragonlady in meditation, and petting a street kitty so happy to see me that she started arching her butt and mewing from 50 feet away. (Granted, it was just Sugarfoot. I already knew she's mah buddy, but she's usually the most aloof of the three.)

@Djinnanigans@dragon.style @Phorm It... it won't help, trust me. Honestly, Peg dragged me, and I found the whole thing to be rather less of a spectacle than I was told it would be. It turns into a very claustrophobic-feeling stage show about halfway through and the zany CGI just mostly disappears.

@Balina Yeah, even the tweet about it that I originally saw seemed disapproving at first and turned out to be just playful about it. It's not even that big of a deal. It alllllmost made me want to play FFXIV for a moment, but I ate something sweet and the feeling went away. :p

@hystericempress I mean, that blows, but at least it sounds like you won't have to do full-time to meet your quota... I'll tell you, though, a good work at home job is REAL cushy. I still wish I could turn you loose at MY job... WHEN I AM QUEEN SOMEDAY.

Oh, seriously, take a look at the ad survey jobs on that list, too. I hear they can be surprisingly lucrative (cough especially if you're willing to lie about demographics a little cough).

@Balina I dunno. I don't know our comparative ages, but this feels like... a thing, when I compare it to the world I grew up in. Kinda like knowing that that two of the most fascism-resistant cultures in 2020 have been "horror rap clowns" and "people who dress up like foxes." There's something... gratifyingly weird and norm-defying about it all. It's a sign that even if our eldest generation is pretty fucked up right now, the Kids Are Alright. ^___^

@hystericempress I hear from /r/workonline that ESL teaching from home jobs basically just require charm and comedy skills and people can clean up doing them... I realize this is THAT kind of advice, but it's all I can think of offhand except maybe streaming--and I know what a godawful algorithm-pleasing slog that is--but it's the best I can think of other than immediate socioeconomic revolution. >___<
