@Felthry like, even with a rolling pin a decent pastry dough will take a few hours tops
@noiob I've never made it from scratch but I've heard croissants are really involved to make the dough--a few days is an exaggeration though

@Felthry I mean nowadays you just fold it, then throw it in a machine to get rolled, repeat that. I think for home baking the common sense is to buy premade
@noiob yeah but when the recipe was first invented you couldn't get premade!
