#Introductions Hi new folks! I'm Paul, but some people call me CookieMom. I enjoy baking, raising money for charities, playing games, and designing games. I don't enjoy politics, but I still try to stay active in it.
On Mastodon, I'm a moderator for the Awoo.space instance, trying to support those in need and helping to resolve conflicts, intentional or not.
For work, I do stuff that destroys my soul, but pays my bills. It's the compromise I accept.

Another year, another Desert Bus done with.
So, I'm looking at what's come out this year for games, and nothing's really striking me as a stand-out experience? Last year had a bunch of exceptional games and this year, there's a lot of solid games. Is there anything out there I missed and should dive into before the year is up?

Saw a Senator call out Blizzard for their treatment of a player who won money in their tourney that showed support for Hong Kong.
To clarify, the tourney that took place in Taiwan, had an interview where the player voiced support for the Hong Kong protests. Blizzard then stripped the player of his winnings and banned him for a year, AND banned the casters who aired the statement.
