Ahh, what the hell. I'm in a good mood and protected by the cover of night.
Ask me anything, even the awkward stuff. The only rules are:
1) If it's awkward, I reserve the right to answer in DMs.
2) If it's REALLY awkward, I reserve the right to lie! (I will caption such replies.)
3) Nothing deliberately cruel.
4) I end the queue when I feel like it.
5) PLEASE no inquiries pertaining to the Central Asian steel industry between 1997 & 2001. THIS IS FOR YOUR SAFETY AS WELL AS MINE.
1. Trader Joe's "Unexpected Cheddar"
2. extremely sharp Cheddar
3. Manchego
4. very aged Gouda
5. French Munster (i.e. not American Muenster)
@zebratron2084 @JulieSqveakaroo
There are people out there who aren't expecting cheddar? 🤔
@xinjinmeng @zebratron2084 @JulieSqveakaroo
Is it an unusual color or something?
@001zlnv @xinjinmeng @JulieSqveakaroo See above -- it's an unusual crossbreed of Parmesan and Cheddar.
It's shelved in the produce section.
@xinjinmeng @JulieSqveakaroo Valid question. :) It's a somewhat odd Parmesan-Cheddar hybrid, not a blend but something with traits of both. It's surprisingly good, very sharp and crumbly, lots of little tyrosine crystals.
@zebratron2084 There's two robotic gentlemen who want me to ask you how many "different kinds of fish" you can name.
@Soreth All of them. All fish. Except, due to a bewildering quirk of semantics and hypno-organic translation, the Babelfish.
Wait, what?
@zebratron2084 Oooooh, paradoxical! Very impressive.
@zebratron2084 @Soreth wasn't the babelfish called that for marketing purposes just because of its superficial resemblance to an actual fish while actually being a silicon-based plant?
@kelseyhusky @Soreth That's a good question! I'm getting no support for it in a quick Google hunt, but that is not really strong evidence, and I could very easily see that being a bit of h2g2 canom I missed... Everybody refers to it as a fish, but could VERY easily be misinformation...
I might have to get some ocrs and do some skimming...
@zebratron2084 @kelseyhusky Hmmm... not that I recall, but I may have missed that somewhere. I'm fuzzier on the radio program, if it cropped up there amidst all the Lintillas I might not have noticed
@Soreth @zebratron2084 honestly I was just shitposting to be included.
@Soreth @zebratron2084 but it is telling that I was just plausible enough to send two people searching independently.
@kelseyhusky @Soreth well played!
@zebratron2084 favorite colors
@typhlosion Purples and blues, because I'm partly colorblind and they, as the color "blurple," confound me. :)
@zebratron2084 it's very on-brand, i think, for something that confounds you to be your favorite version of that thing
@typhlosion It's maddening!</dean_venture>
@zebratron2084 How was Mardi Gras?
@Aradia Strange but good. Boring in places but a nice, relaxed kind of boring. LOTS of eye candy, including both costumes and floats. And there was a fox wedding float! We got pics AND a medallion throw of it! ^____^
@zebratron2084 also what’s the best not Cajun/Creole/French food you’ve had in NOLA so far?
@leucrotta I did finally find a decent sushi place down here, and the pho scene is just as good as everybody told me it would be. We also found some _really_ good dive-bar barbeque.
@zebratron2084 well can I cheat and ask why 5 is off limits? Just whimsical nonsequitur or did you have a job which dealt with the subject?
@leucrotta You're not cleared for that.
(It's a joke, implying a much more interesting and dangerous life than I've actually had. :> )
