Each hero, team, organization, civilization, etc. created during the game gets its own card, with a couple of power-ranking stats. (This is mostly for narrative and record-keeping purposes; no character really "belongs" to any given player.)
The campaign is divided into eras: Pulp, Golden, Silver, Bronze, Dark, Modern, and Post-Modern. A new set of trope cards is introduced with each era, gradually introducing things like team-ups, what-ifs, & multiverses.

@zebratron2084 @Vedia_Lupae @ElectricKeet oh my gosh yes, yes this sounds famtastic (typo but I like it so it stays)! I want to but really shouldn't volunteer to write the stories down. I certainly can't volunteer to draw the comic-pictures that need to go with it. but yes, I am five thousand percent up for this!

@zebratron2084 @ElectricKeet @green I like the idea!

@zebratron2084 @ElectricKeet @Vedia_Lupae @green I'll have to dig out my notes; had a similar idea years back but I don't have the real follow-through to act on it. :-)

@emanate I'd love to cross-pollinate! You'd be welcome to join in, too, if we ever put a session together -- I still have an open slot!

@zx3 If I can get a prototype together, my next goal is probably to make it play-by-Wiki or play-by-email friendly. I'd LOVE to put a truly massive game together with all the Usual Suspects. :)

Other than that, I'm thinking this will be pretty freeform, with just the bare minimum of rules necessary to give people inspiration.
Does this sound like something that might be fun? I'm especially curious what @ElectricKeet, @Vedia_Lupae, and @green think, since you were my original batch of volunteers and have dibs on any actual playtests. ^_^
I'd especially love volunteers to help with the game design aspect of this, if it sounds interesting at all.
