@Ulfra_Wolfe@witches.town Contrast this with The Rival, the edge of masks. It, too, is a card symbolizing danger. But without the single mindedness, a Rival is entirely more 'person'. Interestingly, a rival strongly represents division where the monster represents union... rivalries often pull us apart, where shared threats pull us together
@Ulfra_Wolfe@witches.town This is actually part of the intent behind The Eye of Masks card. The Monster is a monster through your perception. You are erasing whatever identity it has beneath the mask. This doesn't mean it isn't harming you. But it's the narrative you have taken on. The card is about erasure through perception and single mindedness. Something powerful in a story, but otherwise dangerous.
@vahnj @chosafine@boys.computer pap shoosh, calm the little friends
I will be doing more readings in a little bit, once work calms down. But until then... A note.
The fae tell stories. But through sheer technicality, they do not lie. A story may be told to deceive or obfuscate, but to them, all stories are true, somewhere, somehow, somewhen. But the stories you believe in have much more power.
@Oneironott ask for a story, and I'll ask the deck for it when I'm able!
@Ulfra_Wolfe@witches.town Your form will be as caretaker. The placement of Destruction tells me that you will destroy your other masters, Law and Tradition, and the low position of Transition tels me that you will create something new from the ashes. Fate guides you to the next page, wait for it to turn. Your community is your center. Keep it safe.
@Ulfra_Wolfe@witches.town Tarot of the Fae... What form must Ulfra take?https://awoo.space/media/MSgXr-suXsAI054DCAk
The first card drawn is the Shield of Masks, The Parent. A shield forms the relationship of community. These are the things that surround you and will influence your form. You must become a parent, forged in destruction opposed to law. Surrounded by Tragedy bound with Transition. Drawn towards both Fate and Tradition.
@Kyna To me, it says that these are things that will aid you in your quest. Multiple eyes speak of intense focus, multiple Ultimates speak of intensity and difficulty of comprehension. But all throughout it, your blade will be guided by the assistance of your lovers.
@Kyna The deck is feeling snarky today! Tarot of the Fae, Tell me the story of Kyna's Confidence to come. https://awoo.space/media/SGXaT-sxlgJ7nII92rw
The first card drawn is the Treasure of Myths. A comedy! The deck thinks your question rather silly. Pay little attention to the structure of this spread, because a Treasure spread is inherently random. But your story is a broad one. It speaks to deceptive dreams, purpose, multiple lovers, Assistance granted with intent...
@Kyna (I will totally give you a reading, though, just need a serious question~ )
@Kyna I don't need to consult the fae for that. The answer is yes, you dork.
@Ulfra_Wolfe@witches.town On the other page is The Child, a representation of yourself, a proto form as you rebuild yourself from the ground up. At this precipice, your story can change to one of two things... A journey of betterment, or a tale of deception. The line between these two outcomes is your acceptance of your new self. It seems the Tarot was more interested in the past today than clearing up the future.
@Ulfra_Wolfe@witches.town Oh Tarot of the Fae, Tell me the story of Ulfra's Relationships. https://awoo.space/media/Zu6LKhgHVA_tB8YuTFc
The first card drawn was The Edge of Myths. Tragedy. This is a story of sadness. But hope is not lost! An edge is a story of two sides. On the one side, Obsession is your master, over The Teacher, who's master was Progress. This tells a story of a sad past, one sooner forgotten. But the other side speaks of new stories...
A bit sentimental tonight. I don't always say it enough, but those of you who've stayed in my life, you are so very important to me. You are my dear family, and I love you.
Hm... I realize my deck Doesn't have The Hero in it, and I feel that's important. But I do have both family and parent... Does The Star of Masks fit Hero well enough?
