US Pol (---), mh (-), addendum

@anthracite @Phorm The Senate is a weird one. In theory this year should be Very Bad. In practice it's the one good side to 2016. I mean the Dem is one point down in *Texas*.

But yes more porn is good. May I humbly suggest the idea from yesterday as a starter n.n

US Pol (---), mh (-), addendum

@anthracite @Phorm Eh, a Dem Congress and Senate can pretty much kneecap Orange Mussolini. The current batch has been covering for him pretty damn hard.

Commissioning porn is providing funds to people the assholes hate, so that's a net plus.

US Pol (---), mh (-), addendum

@Phorm @anthracite Snuffsona. Hah, appropriate.

Well, in two months there's something concrete you can do. Until then- not everyone can protest, not everyone can do some things.

But you have elected representatives you can bitch at. You have charities that are fighting back you can donate to.

Past that, going to quote local artist: "If nothing else, stay around, keep creating keep being you. Because people need that. And they hate it."

@emanate @Leucrotta Medi-Cal covers outpatient mental health, which usually means therapy. There should be a website you can look up w/ providers. If not some/most therapists reduce their fees for a limited number of patients who can't otherwise afford it (sliding scale)

...holy shit. The fire that hit Redding made an EF3 fire tornado. And there's video.

Gender, New Shitty Terms, Transphobia (--)

@anthracite @Phorm It's comically bad, which is the case because it's TERF talking points published in an open access paper not actual science.

Enter the restaurant to not-great but better than this week air quality. Exit to drifting clouds of ash (not visible but the air *felt* gritty)

Quoth the dragon: "I'm getting really tired of this Morrrowind cosplay."

Work gripe

Bonus: That other sheet you cut data to? Doesn't show anything has been filtered. Clicking clear filter does nothing unless you select the whole sheet first which you don't normally need to do.

The only clue is the line numbers.

Work gripe

There are days where I think Excel is a class on how not to UX.

Like today, when I forgot that *copy and cut do different things if the selection is filtered*

A range of 5 items filtered to two, if copied, will copy only those two. If cut, it takes those two and every item between. If you want to cut, you must copy then manually delete the filtered item.

Hence why half my data is now on the wrong sheet >.<

Bribsite death knell

@Thaminga @anthracite @Phorm Most clients are. Plume still handles DMs for me

Seattle-ish area folks: Betsy Tiney and Leslie Hudson see doing a concert in Redmond around 7 I'm probably heading there if anyone wants to join me :)

(for the unfamiliar Betsy is a ridiculously good cellist)

Soreth and I were talking eclipses, and I got to musing about solstice/equinox eclipses, figuring they'd be quite rare.

...there was one three years ago! The sun rose eclipsed on the North Pole at the spring equinox. Also an annual solar eclipse in 2039 near the north pole as well.

Birdsite link, uspol lol

This is the stupidest most pointless redaction I've ever seen.

Seattle smoke, work+

(I think they're all expired since the last time they bought a bunch of these was 2009. But it's still better than nothing which is what everyone but me was using)

Seattle smoke, work+

Health and safety coordinator at work is wandering around handing out N95 filter masks. Good plan!

Hopefully people here actually know how to use these..

Kinda lewd, but also relating to air quality?

@KoBunny If the threads aren't blocked by latex they take standard gas mask filters. Otherwise you'll need an adapter and I think those are a custom job. Just make sure to get a good filter and seal :)
