The reason for the logjam is still ??? possibly diet, and my ass still hurts from the Dr. shoving his fingers in there.

Oddly the smoke and stories about the wildfires reminded me of a college class.

One of my fieldwork classes in college had one trip they described as one of the more dangerous ones despite being a short hike in the woods to get to the work. You see, it was through a forest that had died off- I forget if it was fire or disease and insects. But the trees? Most of them were still up.

Until they weren't. So while we catalogued the recovery process there was always back of the head wondering which one would come down next, and if it it would be before we left or not.
