Another party member had unknowing bumped into one of her 'sisters' aswell. Was cute.

She'd been an exploration of what someone would be like who can willingly make forks of themself and willing to accept that as normal.

The party was supposed to be xfiles'y conspiracy nuts so I guess it makes sure we bumped into it?

admittedly my experience of Eclipse Phase may have been a little off standard:

Me: "No, I'm not going to hack this, there's another Titan shard in here. Again."
Party: "Do it."
Me: [Loses another alpha shard to a Titan already being in the computer. ]

guh maybe getting a piercing while also in the middle of a multi-day moodswingy bullshit state was a bad call?

Notably, I'd like a game that settles more on telling a story of someone truly repressed in the system. PoC or queer folks who dealing with police violence. a game that actually leans into Punk.

but it's corproate game dev, we'll never get it but I'm upset that that's the case.

@kelseyhusky @Motodrachen I recently had it pointed out that in Shadowrun, the whole "cyberware kills the soul" thing is wrong. It's that magic is like a wifi network and the more meat you cut off the body the harder it is to receive the signal.

It's still kinda shitty, but at least it's not like... your soul?

A cyberpunk game where instead of transhumanism making you less a person, combating your dysphoria makes you more a person.

@irisjaycomics I mean a lot of the problems with it is that it's very much just taking a rulebook writen in 1988 and only really updating the parts that are safe to.

They COULD do so much more with it, they COULD and they're taking the path that feeds fans of cyberpunk aesthetic, but not cyberpunks.
