Hbomberguy has a new project:

"We’re seeking out emerging BIPOC and/or LGBTQ+ artists in comics & illustration, animation, and video games."

"We will select 5 residents in media arts to receive a mini-grant of $2000, as well as support through project management, guidance, and mentoring sessions from experienced professional creatives in their field, towards a project to be completed in 3 months."

"Requirements:

Applicants must be over 18 years old.

Applicants from any country are eligible.

Ongoing projects are allowed if they can be finished in 3 months, but we have a strong preference for projects that can be started and finished within the time period—a small-scope project you’ve always had in mind but haven’t had time for.

Applications will be open until August 10th, 10:00 PM PST."

Online clothing retailers, stop crushing the souls of those of us who are not short. (A brief rant in an accusing tone aimed at nobody I know.) 

I'm not even talking about a failure of search terms here. I'm talking about browsing the website using the listed categories. As a particularly frustrating example, consider that there's more to tall-size pants than just leg length. The proportions matter. When I browse a category called "tall pants" I should only see pants that are available in specifically designated tall sizes. Period.

Do not give me results for regular-length capri pants. They don't count as "tall" just because "they're supposed to look short". I don't even want capri pants.

Especially do not serve me a page listing only capris and shorts because there are no actual tall pants. Just... for fuck's sake, don't. Finding clothing is hard enough. *defeated sigh*

"Grimmway Farms is voluntarily recalling bagged carrots sold at grocery stores across the country because they may be contaminated with Salmonella.

The recall includes carrots sold under the brand names Bunny Luv, Cal-Organic, O Organics and Grimmway Farms' own brand. All the retail products recalled have a nine-character lot code beginning with 195, 196 or 197 and ending in BF or SP.

The company said the recall is a result of a routine internal test. So far, no illnesses have been linked to the recall.

In addition to the carrots sold at retail stores, Grimmway Farms said it also recalled carrots that went to food manufacturers and food service distributors.

Anyone who has the recalled product in their possession should not consume it and should destroy or discard it."

@hystericempress Heck, replace "unbelievably loud patterns" with "depictions of unicorns" and that's me at 43. Worse, I think I lost weight on one side of my body and gained on the other. Lockdown was weeeeird.
