What with the nature of Mastodon, I wonder how easy it would be to set up an instance that is an in-character RPG. Like, modern setting, Urban fantasy, sci-fi, horror, something like that, where the instance host is the GM.

Just thinking of how in the late 80s we'd generate fake landscapes on our computers by dividing the screen into four rectangles, randomly moving the center spot up or down some, then subdividing each of the rectangles and repeating the process, then coloring in all the stuff at a height below zero as water blue and the stuff above zero as Brown or Other Brown or Grey or Other Grey.
