tl:dr; I suck at clothing.

The worst part by far is my foot size. By any estimation on the US women's scale, I'm somewhere around 15~17 (men's 13½~14½) and 3W~5W? (men's 3E~4E).

I have a hard time finding anything that actually fits other than sportsy Axe-effect shoes (not really desired) or blocky-soled loafers – and even those are rare.

For the curious:

I stand at 190cm (around 6'2½"). I weigh around 127kg (280lb). My shape is that of a slightly odd masculine frame with around thirteenish years of girly hormones to make up for twenty-six years without.

Jeans, I can sort of find in almost the right proportions sometimes. Basically everything else is simply made wrong, and more so the more "gendered" it is.

I seriously want to add flexibility to my wardrobe, but I know I'm going to have to spend painfully for custom work due to not just my build in general but especially my foot size.

This mound of anxiety is built up around going to a tailor because I haven't before, and double that for a genuine shoemaker!

It's not that I don't love my body. It's that it's so annoying and/or expensive to clothe!

So, I got the urge to try and phonetically transliterate my name, "Electric Keet", into hangul. The closest I've managed to get is this:

My big question is this: Can anyone out there verify accuracy for me or make some suggestions? (You know, aside from "don't do this". It's not like I'm planning to get a tattoo of it or anything.)

If, after asking for clarification, it becomes unambiguously clear that they're intentionally being hurtful, then give 'em hell, sure.

If it turns out they're just using terms familiar to them, be gentle. Words are habits, and bad habits are very difficult to break. (Good habits are healthy; be open to that possibility, also!)

When I encounter someone using a word in a context or fashion I find problematic, I like to address it this way:

"Before we go on, I gotta make sure we're on the same wavelength here. What do you mean when you say '<slur>'?"

Yes, I'll even repeat the word or phrase verbatim, because my goal is not to make anyone ashamed of their way of speaking, but to get an idea of what they _intend_ to say. I want to react to the ideas, not just their shadows.

It usually works very, very well.

If I call myself a "tranny", I can expect a wide range of reactions:

• startled – "Oh, I thought that was a bad word!"
• neutral – "Not my business what folks call themselves."
• angry – "I heard that word is offensive and I'm calling you out!"
• friendly – "Sisters gotta stick together!"
• confused – "You're, uh... into automotive parts?"

...and so on. But which of these responses is "right"?

Words are bullshit, but we keep using them because they're still too convenient to ditch. Some words take on – or are born into – meanings of sensitive topics, and sometimes those words will themselves become sensitive topics.

"Gay man", "gay Paris", "gay man", "that's gay", and "gay man" are all distinctly different in meaning depending on their context in time, culture, and place.

Words aren't ideas. Words are the _shadows_ of ideas.

I genuinely appreciate the value to the soothing aesthetic of taking a draw on one's vape-pen and watching the LEDs at the end of it glow.

I really kinda wish these particular dispensary-branded pens didn't glow BRIGHT GREEN. It's clever for half a second and then it's really, really annoyingly dumb for the life of the pen. Red will do just fine, thank you.

Apparently, when you tell DOOM (2016) that you want to "restart level", it doesn't just take you back to the start of the level. No, it wipes all the progress made on that level – and any progress made after that level was completed, including later levels and secrets found on previous levels.

You could have been just a smidge clearer on that, id Software.

I am so pissed right now. There's nothing more demoralising than having to redo hard work. *sighs* Way to make it un-fun.
