the fact that mega man DOS exists is weird enough, but what's *really* weird is that capcom let the same person have the license to make a *second* one
-F

playing a JRPG where you can switch out party members mid-battle, except the voice clips were set up just wrong so that when you do that, certain characters will give their start of turn quote "Leave this to me!" quickly followed by their switching out quote "I leave this to you!"

@Kilroy i'm guessing divergent evolution of a recipe that was brought here centuries ago? or maybe just someone sticking a foreign-sounding name on something not remotely foreign like how they do sometimes
-F

@Kilroy yeah a crumpet is probably the closest actual british food thing to it but it's not really that either
-F

why are english muffins called that anyway

as we understand it they're nothing like what you'd get if you asked for a muffin in england
-F

@fluxom_alt @pillowcat i mean it's one of the most common and most understandable things people get mixed up, no one's going to blame you
-F

@fluxom_alt @pillowcat the way we remember it is that none of the other possessive pronouns (outside of probably some neopronouns) use an apostrophe (think like his, her, their, vis, eir, hir... its) while all the pronoun+is contractions do (think like he's, she's, they're, ve's, ey's, sie's... it's)
-F

if you have an affectionate slime dog, is that a lickquid?
-F

@fluxom_alt @pillowcat oh! it pronouns are good, i'm definitely not biased
-F

@pillowcat @fluxom_alt what pronouns are those? we are not familiar with the story you reference
-F

@hi_cial this sounds like a good way to get your house haunted by a cat ghost

ghost friend!
