except when we're in the lab, because then we have access to Fancy Cleaners (IPA-soaked lint-free cloths, not actually that fancy)

maxim's models might be more usable if we knew more about how to use OASIS/SIMetrix but we've been using LTspice for ages and changing is hard because there basically are no industry standards for UI (specifically controls) in this industry

and i don't want a CAD program where scrolling the mouse wheel doesn't zoom

we had a scary thought yesterday

now that Analog's bought Maxim, I hope they don't start jacking up the prices of Maxim stuff

I don't know if they did that with LT or not because their acquisition of LT was before we got into EE, but we've always known Analog/LT for making good quality stuff with good documentation and simulation models for *everything*, but charging quite a lot for it

Whereas Maxim makes the same kinds of stuff with adequate documentation and simulation models for a lot of things but only in SIMPLIS/OASIS, not SPICE, but for less than half the price
