@ziphi (also a lot of physics classes are severely hampered by not using calculus, yours might have been one of those; calculus is the natural language to use for physics and trying to do it without it just makes everything *much* harder and turns it into "memorize these fifty bajillion formulae")
-F

@ziphi mathematics or otherwise, general relativity has a lot of conceptual hurdles. it's very hard to get a feel for it to a point that any of it feels like it makes any sense at all
-F

@ziphi Special relativity is pretty straightforward and easy to comprehend (though unintuitive in many ways)

but general relativity? that gets *really* out there

re: nsfw art female kobold, multileg, cloaca

@k0bold @niss you could easily turn that pray-y arm pose into "holding a game boy and resting upper arms on something above their head", probably
-F

@anthracite i like the implication that if you pick a hundred, you're saying that 100 layers is a lot, but 500 and 1000 aren't
-F

@mwichary microcontrollers have caused the loss of a lot of technological knowledge
-F

@MindmeshLink i can see the stanley parable as horror. unsure if we'd consider it as such but i see where they're coming from
-F

@codl @batterpunts @halcy what's really weird about that specifically is that it's never taught to 1L english speakers!! we just kinda, pick it up and don't realize it exists until someone points it out
-F

@shnorbles@chitter.xyz i'm pretty sure you can do that with any pizza, it just won't be particularly enjoyable
-F

@pup_hime sometimes they do have handles, it seems to be random though which ones the grocery store buys any given week
-F

@sharkNserg we need to play shadowbringers.... heard lots of good things about it
-F

@oceanotter how many layers deep is your aquifer? because the construction area gets really big if it's more than a handful of layers deep (you have to dig into it like an inverted pyramid sort of thing)
-F

@oceanotter it's possible but really annoying. you have to dig out the aquifer layer by layer and drop constructed walls into it from above (because constructing them in situ is impossible if the aquifer is too strong)

your dwarves will get wet in the process. do not attempt to build bedrooms or anything inside an aquifer layer, that will just end in frustration
-F

@pup_hime i'm not sure how to get that across in text, and we have too bad voice dysphoria to record, sorry
-F

@pup_hime oh yeah, you do have pączki

those get briefly popular in parts of the US around mardi gras, because of polish immigrant communities

it's one of the few Polish words we have any clue how to actually pronounce as a result
-F

@pup_hime (sorry if that's all stuff you already know, i don't know how common donuts are in poland, i'm assuming not very if you were excited to try them though!)
-F

@pup_hime there are two main types of donuts, cake donuts which are denser and have a more cakey sort of texture, and yeast donuts which are your traditional donut kind of donut. the latter are far superior in our opinion, but they are less popular because making them is a lot more work, so some donut places don't even offer them anymore
