possible transmisia maybe?, question
I remember reading once that the symphony of the night enemy called "frozen half" (which is just an ice witch, but has a unique, lower-pitched scream sound effect when killed, different from the other witch enemies) is meant to be a transgender stereotype of some kind but I can't remember what exactly, could someone explain (or tell me I'm mistaken if that's the case)?
Hm. I tried to repair a crack in our laptop case with superglue last night, and managed to superglue shut the laptop. I got it open, but now there's a big blob of hardened superglue on it that we probably ought to get rid of. Anyone know how to do that? A solvent that dissolves polymerized cyanoacrylate but not whatever plastic this laptop is made of would be ideal.
@noiob one thing I always found a bit odd is that the N64 simply didn't have the power to do _2D_ games, where the PS1 did
they put all their effort towards 3d and as such there just isn't enough texture ram for spritesheets
this is kind of true too, because the ps2/gamecube/dreamcast/xbox era was the first one where games were frequently ported between all of the main systems
you didn't get games that came out on both playstation and n64, or both snes and genesis
"Viking hordes" = "viker gangs"
thought: steel is such a common material for tools because, primarily, of the abundance of iron; it's the most abundant metal. As such, a lot of research has gone into making tools and structures out of iron and iron-based alloys.
But what materials would tools and structures be made of if given an unlimited amount of any ores you want? (you have to smelt, alloy, and forge them yourself though) If iron didn't have the advantage of abundance, what would tools have been made of instead?
