if you're wondering how you do better than 100%: it's the realization that it doesn't take anywhere near as much energy to *move* heat as it does to *produce* it, so you just move heat from a place you don't need warm (like outside) to the place that you do want to be warm (like inside your apartment)

if you think about it, electric heaters are the only thing that can be 100% efficient

and yet we've still managed to make a better version of them with heat pumps

does that mean that instead of "this!!!!", in French you would write "this ! ! ! !"? Or would you write "this !!!!"?

if anyone ever tells you not to use singular they because it's "confusing" or "not correct english" ,my recommendation is to comply, and additionally insist on not using singular you around them, and when they ask just explain that singular you is newer to the english language than singular they, so it would also probably be confusing to them as they are clearly a time traveller from the 14th century or something

selenium is named after the moon but has nothing to do with it, just like how uranus isn't made of uranium and pluto isn't made of plutonium

the moon is made of much the same stuff that the earth is made of, which is actually really interesting and evidence that the moon used to be part of the earth

it has no more selenium than the earth does
