also that the inverted stone tower replaces the ocarina with a flute, a different woodwind... one that the skull kid plays

just had it pointed out that the stone tower temple music uses four instruments in addition to its chanting: a woodwind, plucked strings, drums, and some kind of brass

i don't think it's a coincidence that link in this game plays ocarina, guitar, drums, and whatever brass thing deku pipes are

youtube why are you recommending me a stream of mormon officialy stuff

apparently 7up originally was a patent medicine thing and one of the few that actually had some kind of effect (it contained lithium carbonate, a mood stabilizer)

where did the trend of putting gelatinous spheres in drinks come from anyway, do people actually say "why yes i would like my drink to contain some tapioca blobules. cassava globs. tuber orbs."

Maxwell's equations are nicer, plus you get four of them instead of just one

pretty simple, elegant solutions, but the requirement that ∇·B = 0 seems arbitrary and kinda ruins the nice symmetry they had going on. 4/5

the Schrödinger equation is some real nonsense

too wiggly, hard to follow, mostly unsolvable. 1/5 one point because at least it looks simple

ways to feel old: see a youtube video titled "what happened to the A: and B: drives in windows"

realizing that so many people have never used floppy disks to the point that they don't even know that A: and B: are reserved for floppy drives...

the Hearth :ms_agender_flag: boosted

Problems that seem like they should be hard but are actually easy: Given an arbitrary mechanical linkage, determine how to arrange it such that a specific point on it lands in a specific location (inverse kinematics)

Problems that seem like they should be easy but are actually hard: Prove that any deformed circle that doesn't intersect itself has an inside and an outside (Jordan curve theorem)
