as someones who don't like horror games and have an anxiety disorder, horror games/movies are a weird concept to us

like, "oh yes i'd like to be extremely stressed for a few hours, please make the experience as stressful as possible"

i get that some people like that! i don't get why and i doubt i'll ever understand because we get stressed enough with everyday life to need fairly hefty anxiety medication

the only situation i can think of where that could happen is if there's a problem with the memory, or the interrupt vector table is corrupted, and resetting won't fix either of those

the idea of a triple fault is kind of amusing to me

a processor encounters an error, so it goes into an error handling routine, but if an error occurs when trying to go to the error handler it then tries to go to an error handling routine for the error handling routine, but if an error happens there it just gives up and resets itself

i'm not saying that first-graders should know how to solve Schrödinger's equation or anything, but if you can start introducing the concept of the derivative around sixth or seventh grade and get basic differential equations by like, freshman year in high school

a lot of the trouble we see people having with physics and such is a lack of understanding of the processes that underlie all the equations

seriously, teach calculus earlier, a basic understanding of differential equations makes physics make so much more sense
