something we've always kinda wondered and never saw an actual answer to: in the pokemon games, at what point is turn order decided? in a double battle, if the speed order at the start of the turn is A > B > C > D, and pokemon A uses a move that makes C faster (perhaps C has swift swim and A used rain dance), so that C's speed is now higher than B's, does C go before B or after?

International Rectifier makes plenty of things other than rectifiers, Diodes Inc. makes a lot of things that aren't diodes, and Littelfuse makes a ton of things that are neither little nor fuses... you can't trust anyone!

the no is because many ideas we have don't suit artists we want to commission, and also i don't want to go up to a stranger and dump some kind of super complex multi-everything design on them

- i have an idea and i don't know who to commission to get it drawn
- i want to commission this artist and don't have any ideas of what to get

you would think one of these problems would solve the other, but no

star fox was literally a tech demo for the superfx coprocessor, basically a gpu on the game cartridge

the snes was not capable of 3d rendering on its own, all mode 7 could do was rotate and scale a single flat background layer--it couldn't even do 3d rotations on it, those map screens with the perspective view were using a trick to change the scaling on every scanline

it is somewhat annoying to us when people refer to star fox as the pinnacle of mode 7, because it's not mode 7 at all, mode 7 can't do anything close to that
