every console that has a Fancy New Feature seems to go through an early phase where every game has obnoxious gimmicks that use that feature

the wii had it with everything using motion controls (almost always badly), the ds had it with everything using the touchscreen

i can't really think of any other super gimmicky things on consoles other than the psvita's rear touchpad thing and we don't knwo enough about the vita library to know how badly that was used

someone tell us about good pc-engine/turbografx games (including the cd ones)

we got a flashcart and want to know what's worth trying on the system, other than the ones we already know about (Ys, mostly)

thing that bugs us: person doing a video game on stream, allows themself to get really distracted by talking to the stream audience, gets frustrated that they keep dying on a difficult part where you really don't want to be distracted, refuses to recognise that the distraction is the problem and blames the game

you know i just realized, in castlevania tradition you encounter succubi in order of ecclesia, except they're all feminine-presenting

i choose to believe that this means that shanoa is gay, because if a supernatural creature wants to seduce her (they actually do have voice clips that indicate that they do want to), i imagine they appear in the form she finds most attractive, after all
