(for those who don't know, it's common at least in the US for honey to be packaged in bear-shaped bottles, for some reason. so you'd turn the bear upside down to squeeze out some honey)

not only are they a really neat way of expressing your identity, they're also about the only case we know of where a closed class was opened

seriously though we were not expecting it to be this *tiny*
it's a pretty capable console for its time which is all the more impressive considering its diminutive size, especially compared to how large its contemporaries were (it came out after the NES/Famicom but before the SNES/SFC and Genesis/Megadrive, i believe, all of which were at least like three times as big as this)

it turns out the NEC pc-engine is tiny??? a copy of spyro the dragon was the closest thing to hand for a scale reference
this is a coregrafx, the second hardware revision of the console, but it's the same physical size as the original
we got an opportunity to get one for real cheap a few weeks ago and it finally arrived from japan (games are region locked but we plan to get a flashcart anyway)

re: mh minor -
just why does this feel so bad, it's not anything big but just
missing out on a thing

They do some pretty horribly abusive and degrading things to single mothers, the unhoused, ethnic minorities and people suffering through substance abuse, too.

if you include diphthongs too, we can add
- eɪ in face
- oʊ in goat
- aɪ in price
- ɔɪ in choice
- aʊ in mouth
and that's just general american
other dialects can have additional vowels or different realizations of the same diphthongs (like ei instead of eɪ, for instance)
received pronunciation has interesting diphthongs like eə and ɪə as a result of being non-rhotic, and some triphthongs too

the fact that people are taught in school that english has five vowels is kind of ridiculous
we have (in general american):
- æ in cat
- ɑ in palm
- ɔ in thought
- ɪ in kit
- ε in dress
- ʌ in strut
- ʊ in foot
- i in fleece
- u in goose
- ə in comma (second vowel)
and that's just the monophthongs

or maybe seven-bodied, the seven-headed variant of hydra
they have a practical interest in knot theory

in Tales of Arise, the newest one, the spellcaster character doesn't even say the name of the spell like they usually do in this situation, just saying "blah blah blah, magic!" in this really... dismissive/bored/just-get-it-over-with tone
which is especially silly considering that at one point in the game they talk about how completely essential the incantation is for making the spell work right
