we should really talk more about how the concept of happiness and finding happiness is terrifying for anyone that's dealing with long standing depression, anxiety, body/ facial dysmorphia, gender dysphoria, etc.. just anything we deal with that has forced us to acclimate to misery as a daily part of life.
like, its not enough to stop at, "I don't think I can ever achieve __" and needs to expand into, "I am actively avoiding __ because I don't know who I am outside of this constant state/ because I don't know how to be happy/ because what if I mess up and lose it all" etc etc etc

Working on this RPGMaker MZ game jam has been eye-opening as to just how much work goes into scripting dialogue and cutscene.
Battle and mechanics are a lot easier.

Today, I found Valerie's voice again within me. She appeared to have integrated into me for support and comfort.
I don't blame her, she already lost a prodigal son in law in May, now she has to lose a prodigal daughter the same way 2 months later.
While we all know that leaving them behind is for the best, it certainly doesn't feel that way, and it won't for a long time.
