I'd like to tell you about a fun project I've been doing. I changed my web browser font to a custom one. Over several months I replaced the letters in the alphabet one by one, as I adjusted to reading it, until I had replaced the entire alphabet. I can read this fluently now.

but like I said yesterday, every time I go visit my parents I have new expenses. this time my mom needs some emergency dental intervention + monthly payments so she can completely remove all of her teeth and then add implants (which does reminds me I had a broken tooth for... 3+ years that I wasn't able to fix yet). she needs a initial payment for a temporary fix and then monthly payments for the whole procedure. ofc my father won't pay for it because he don't want to so I'm having to foot the bill

so I've had to unfortunately up the goal for this month but really there is nothing I can do :(

I've been able to work a little bit tho! and that is really amazing and it is thanks to y'all

Also white people: stop whitesplaining Mastodon safety to people experiencing harassment. Just stop. The only time it is appropriate to give advice/instructions in this context is if the person asks you for advice.

(Maybe just normalize the no unsolicited advice strategy everywhere, it’s a good strategy for not being an asshole)
