Since a cat threw up into my VPN hardware I have this burning desire to have zero hardware on the floor or shelves, and no wire rats nests anywhere.

There's no real evaluation. You pay for consulting and the consultants tell you what special words they want to see in your sales briefs then they pick based on who said the most magic words.
