@isatis@vulpine.club I am heavily biased by the golden age of IRC, which was exactly this. I used Bitlbee with IRSSI for quite awhile to federate back to the “mainstream” chat applications of the era, which later grew to include Jabber, AIM, ICQ, MSN, and later even a Skype and Twitter interface.
A modern equivalent sounds quite nice, honestly.

There's a Trump rally scheduled at the same time as Seattle Trans Pride, likely intending to disrupt the event.
Here's the info I've found:
• They're likely meeting at 4th and Columbia downtown & will march from there
• The hosting group has connections with known white nationalist movements
• The Gender Justice League is aware of this and is requesting donations for additional private security for Seattle Trans Pride

@Taylor In the US, loans are sold on an open market. It’s common to have it split up between who holds the security (usually immediately sold to a federal agency) and who services the loan (often sold as an annuity between creditors).
I can’t speak to why it’s legal, but it happens because the value of assets fluctuates depending on the value of the dollar. So when the offering price EvilCorp™️ provided up front exceeded the time value of the payments, it sold.
