yeah, now that I'm sober, I think what I really am drawn too/need to work on is a kinda consistent pleasing (gamuted?) color scheme.

okay so everything I'm thinking of now about art is that I want to trend towards cartoonier/more stylized AND less literal, more coherent overall color shift (so that looks more bold and dramatic while in reality being fairly subdued)

this is COMPLETELY not any sort of porn I find hot, for but honestly the expressions and color use are masterful at a level I'd do well to study so yeah, stereotypical het furry porn for the win at least *sometimes*.

seriously it's all about taking color less literally and moving what are theoretically different hues/saturation levels more towards a coherent whole.

I also notice that a different furry artist whose character design I like less has the same sort of color sense (so the cartoonier figures and features really fit here) and yet a third furry artist who does porn I'm a little turned off by tbh? is a complete MASTER of value contrasts,
