@arakin afaik Adams picked the song out because it evoked wandering, but I really like how within the full track the mood shifts from traveling alone to this really triumphant climax, like the person made it back into the forest or something.

I've decided to deal with this really terrible spike of self loathing, even though it kinda resolved, by hanging out in a unicorn kigurumi, listening to The Cure's "Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me" album which, for not being the best Cure album nor my favorite, is really good and also includes their best song.
