I suppose the silver lining is that it’s now so difficult to become an artist professionally, one can’t feel at fault when it doesn’t and can’t happen.

@jacel right, a movie worth watching multiple times is still a disappointment compared to a game-changer… and when you have people issuing death threats over Star Wars movies, “panned what’s actually a pretty okay sequel” is kinda normal.

@jacel equivalent to disappointment at Ep I; the first two movies were game changers such that one sequel disappointing (ie not a game changer) movie didn’t attract as much ire as the second such.

@icefoxx Maybe there's a way to record some of the ideas to work up later, equivalent to thumbnail sketches - like recording 1-3 bars of stuff, and keeping it as a library.
