See most film makers in the 1930s and 1940s had glasses and took them off to smooch, so the apparent stylistic choice of soft focus was actually their attempt to lend extra believability to the romantic scenes. #misinformation

I think I've mellowed out about Valentine's Day. I mean yeah there's overcommercialized pressuring heteronormative gross, but that's mostly just capitalism. And love - romantic or other - is at least something I like, by comparison to how most of our holidays are about how you should enlist, y'know?
