Like the single day's gonna have about four or five things which are completely horrible; like the morning will start with Pence golfing with Klansmen, there'll be a shooting where the police plug everyone Black instead of the shooter, the entire EPA will be privatized, 45 will straight up say he was bought off in 2016, by evening we'll launch a special operations attack with lots of collateral casualties somewhere like Sweden, and we'll be expected to think this is somehow okay.

This week
* we sabotaged any chance of a lasting peace in Israel
* we had a couple of school shootings
* congress barely blocked an outrageous attempt to make the country shittier
* our policy towards illegal immigrants got that much nastier
* Republicans said some egregious shit, topped off by 45 being unusually racist even by 45 standards

I have this gut feeling sometime later this summer there's gonna be a day which'll be completely over the top ridiculous about this bullshit.

A thing I don’t like about myself is I’ve put in weight lately. I’m not fat, yet, but it’s all that very male looking stress fat distribution from rib cage down to hips rather than a woman’s more lower belly, thighs and breasts fat distribution. It’s like my fucking chest and belly hair or my fucking brow ridge, a reminder that I’ll never be a pretty girl.

up early; I slept like a log and then suddenly intestinal upset; then I figured I'd knock out all these dishes in hopes of feeling like a short nap and so I wouldn't have to do them later. Just kinda in an ugh mood right now.

As part of the overall “things are more nuanced,” today I’ve realized that correcting me *does* anger me at some basic “well this is upsetting” level below all the abuse associations. Sort of like how there’s always a little spark of anger when someone shoves you on the bus. I feel like accepting this makes it easier to move to “yeah but this doesn’t necessarily mean anything,” if that makes sense.

So later do I draw sci-fi stuff, or dinosaurs, or do I draw off this book about Angolan masked dancers?

Hot take; the more I’m told Deadpool is great and I adore everything Deadpool related, the more ehh I am about the entire thing. It doesn’t help that Deadpool is on earth doing earth stuff and apparently my concept of cool superheroes usually involves “go somewhere else.”

Having just listened to the Riders of Doom part of the Conan soundtrack, I’m amazed that not only do some people currently use “Deus volt!” as a serious thing, but also can do so without mimicking slashing downwards at foot soldiers.
