Out of all the changes in slang over the years, the one I don't use is "lol." Everything else deffo makes sense as a shorthand, and I will totes use it, ty!

I've seen older people from backgrounds far stricter about language use "lol;" I'm unsure exactly why the idea of using it bugs me that much.
