There are basically three big parts to my job and a few little parts;

- receiving most of what we get into the database system. This has me typing sometimes at top speeds, lifting and hauling material, and of course people scream if it doesn't appear completely accurate, but the warehouse guys *can* potentially do this. Records of checks paid for goods need to go to AP.

- processing outbound paperwork going to ships. Unless my boss is out (like last Monday), he can do the worst part, troubleshooting when the database runs into an error (eg some material hasn't been flagged picked, underdelivery quantities differ from default set to 0). Each ship needs delivery notes, *may* need invoices, *may* need COD forms made, *may* need supplemental materials. I've trained one of the warehouse guys and made a cheat sheet for this, but without my boss around, I'm basically the only person who really does this, which is why I'm basically obliged to show up daily. My boss could generate and send paperwork remotely, but physical paperwork's vital for stuff like CODs or Hazmat delivery.

- processing inbound paperwork. When ships send back paperwork, I check if they're invoicing the correct accounts, invoice them or send questions to my boss, and upload the paperwork. COD material needs to go to AR. All material needs to be filed.

- minor stuff; I pull and handle paperwork for any cigarettes going to ships. I request drawback forms to cover taxes on beer going to ships since we don't have a liquor license. I route phone calls and mail to my boss. I handle month end procedures, reconciling credit cards, trying to ensure everything's fully invoiced with proof of delivery, and monthly reports to the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax Bureau.

I don't want to go back to that place. I get triggered that badly and I don't want to go back to places.

aww man I found the train heist sequence and am once again remembering that Solo was definitely my 2nd or 3rd favorite Star Wars movie.

for the record, and this is not going to surprise anyone, I would totally dig a Tim Burton styled Jurassic movie, like with Nanuqsaurus and stuff, it'd be awesome. And I only now just checked what else showed up in the same assemblage, this isn't just me wanting Pachyrhinosaurus on the big screen.

years later I'm still amused by how the use of chorus and glockenspiel in the Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom soundtrack suggests it's a Christmas film, when it isn't but Jurassic World is set during Christmastime and JW Dominion has snow and therefore both kinda qualify.

Like... is there a now hidden early draft of the movie which had a giant Christmas tree in Stately <strike>Wayne</strike> Lockwood Manor, etc, etc, and they revised it?

Gotta remember that stress is cumulative, it's like fencing, the stuff you parry with no effort when you're fresh is the stuff that scores on you when you've been at it for a while.

I slept for shit last night and now it's time to go to the day job which I don't feel I can skip. Tuesdays are never easy for me to be fair.

The world keeps throwing stuff at you which *could* anger or scare you, make you feel like there's no hope, make you feel you're on the verge of avoiding punishment;

in some cases, like Twitter trying to get "engagement" or your boss making everything urgent, this is intentional;

and you've been trained to be really responsive to potential disaster.

Good emotional health depends on being able to distinguish both how dire a situation is and your ability to act on it. But those distinctions are hard to make especially the more things get thrown out that feel bad.
