I remembered just how much I fucking hated being stuck there. At the time it never occurred to me that there was something OTHER than there or that I might NOT have earned it through being an innately terrible ugly retard, or that even if I were nobody deserves being treated that badly.

being old sucks for a batch of reasons, and this is probably speaking from a very privileged position, but I feel like I was really lucky to have some of my adult life in the 90s.

Have I mentioned that my Dad bears more than a slight resemblance to Schostakovich? Which leads me to believe that if he'd been allowed to go to Juliard, actually allowed himself to chill out about less traditionally structured music and occasionally smoked a cig, he'd be a much much happier dude.

it's time to cheat while listening to classical music by skipping ahead to the 4th movement of symphonies aka the good bits. I've already listened to Dvorak's New World Mvt 4 and after I get finished with Mahler's first it's time for Schostakovich.

started #drawing a githyanki astral citadel since that was winning popular vote when I got to Starbucks. I'm pretty sure this looks nothing like the githyanki fortress my old D&D group stormed and I'm still cranky we didn't find the controls and fly it around.

At the used bookstore I snagged this encyclopedic reference for French uniforms during WWI. I feel kinda guilty since 20th century stuff isn’t really my thing, and money is money, but it was like $10 for more detail than I thought you could find in English.
