Then I thought; what if stuff I perceive as REALLY CRITICAL is simply what the person considers a normal mode of communication? Two big things about abuse are; you don’t tell others your history so there’s no reason they’d know it, and you’re always jumpy about how any criticism or mood change could spiral out of control. And it’s REALLY easy to offer criticism/course correction in ways that sound like you’re about to open up, as result of this shitty default abusive society.

the need to believe that pretty much all art is valid - whatever you're making, someone is going to like it and having been told that you're shitty at it is a bad match for all the mistakes you legitimately make as part of process. I look at stuff I'd hate if I made it, but which other people made and therefore it's really cool.

also please remember that wild animals are wild. One is not to feed them, approach them, be kind to them, keep one as a pet or do anything at all which might acclimatize them to humans and therefore result in their deaths and, if there is a video of a wild animal that you consider cute, it's probably COMPLETELY HORRIBLE and you are a TERRIBLE PERSON who really shouldn't be in furry fandom, certainly. Crack a mammalogy textbook and a cold one and feel guilty instead.
