I was REALLY SAD because the weekend was coming to a close, so I figured hey, I'm on the bus a lot this coming week; let me take care of rent and bills so I don't have to do them after a long bus ride. So I'm no longer sad! Because I AM ENRAGED AND WANT TO [description of graphic violence redacted].

Seattle's a fucking mistake. I should have never moved to this particularly worthless city.

One last #drawing today, a batch of portraits from imagination, working larger.

And I know; “you’re coyote, you’ll adapt. You always do.” But “I can change with this situation and find joy” *is* coterminous with “I feel lost and sad.”

Especially in former Northgate Mall - site of a few memories and now largely a big hole in the ground plus sports complex- melancholy is REAL easy to come by. I don’t want to suicide (I probably want to transition) but even in the sunlight, it’s uncomfy.

Meanwhile; most of my time goes to a job I dislike for people I’m neutral about, for what feels like not enough money for landlords’ and others’ greed. I’m slowly improving my art but there’s AI, constant hustling, far better artists and costs which preclude ever doing it FT. Cons, therapy, capoeira and dating seem out of reach; the threat of Covid and far right government is omnipresent, it feels like just time, now. Car’s in the shop, the hardest time of year lies ahead.

#drawings today, wizard duel (dwarf vs goblin with familiar and walking throne), imho looking at Wayne Reynolds art had a positive influence. And, finished up a furry pinup from earlier this month, added more of that kobold “cozy fantasy” character I’ve drawn before.

One key difference between me and our beloved head twit is that when I do something phenomenally bad, I don’t have thousands of people telling me I’m like Moshe Rabbenu. Other differences include “I am probably conscious that this was bad or hurtful,” “I am cognizant of my ability to make mistakes,” and “this crummy decision has cost less than the income of the entire Midwest when you exclude Warren Buffet.”

Serious throwback to the days when you could have a cigarette to go with your Arby's sandwich. You know, just buy a pack from the nearest vending machine.

I went from from how literally decades after both the Matrix and the Peter Jackson LotR movies came out, making fun of Agent Smith/Elrond is still funny; to how frankly, Mortal Engines was an awesome movie.

I don't think something as large as ethnicities (so a huge number of people, adapting culture across centuries and continents) can be *defined* as good or bad.

I'm obviously biased (I think the whole gadzei for gadzei, Roma for Roma attitude is a dead end, and feel that acceptance is more important here - that what I am is different from the people who surround me, and it's just as valid, no more or less) but I don't think the world works that way.

Every group of people has some folks who want to think they're somehow better - if they're not innately physically better, they're culturally better informed or they're more virtuous for having suffered more. But it's bullshit; it's this mix of trying to justify yourself with someone's money making scheme, and that's by definition not really going to be related to genetic roulette or how most cultures are a mix of the sublime and complete garbage.

successfully hoofed it all the way back, which was maybe not a great idea. My shoulders are sore, but I managed to start laundry, transfer money as a hedge against the car being expensive, left vm for car shop and for my folks, put groceries away.

Also I punched the roof of the car hard enough to skin knuckles, because I was frustrated about how no tow places seemed to be open; so I disinfected my hands and cleaned blood off my phone.

Going to shower and cook fish - I think all groceries survived the trip okay thanks to the cold weather.
