About the situation I don't usually feel comfortable talking about;

I'd gotten the impression that because I support a "two state solution" that makes me incredibly right leaning by comparison to what's usually very left leaning politics. I think I should be up front about this and if people want to block me, at least that way I'm being honest.

about the subject I'm not supposed to mention

another Jew says "look, this is shit, I don't support it, I hate it" look we're Jews we're NOT gonna agree with each other necessarily and also a fairly important part here is that this is shit, I don't support it, I hate it

an Arab goes off and that is fucking 300% understandable, I get it, this is shit,

a nice American leftist with no fucking personal connection to this says Free Palestine etc and all I hear is yet another gentile screaming kill the yids

ANYWAY

since I would like to talk about or project anything other than completely unproductive anger

what would you LIKE me to talk about, or would you like me to post some artwork?

holy fuck

this is the best track on the album but it's unusually good right now

coyote sing along lyrics

oh sunshine
your loving beauty passed me by
should I waste my time
in your valley beneath the sky
aaaaaaa
aaaaaaa
aaaaaaa
I am home!
you move your own mountain
the trees have grown
the trees have grown

now it's over
now it's over and I'm goin' home
aaaaaaa
aaaaaaa
aaaaaaa
I am home!

oh honey you know that you can (and will) lick my doo
oh honey you know that you can (and will) lick my big fat doo
aright

wow this next Queens of the Stone Age track I tried out is either the blandest variety of heterosexual relationship whining *or* it's about having a major dissociative episode connected to child emotional abuse

I can't tell which. Time for something lighter like Stravinsky

okay pause on Stravinsky so I can listen to Queens of the Stone Age "If I Had A Tail"

HOLY SHIT THE BASS oh wow why didn't I notice this little flourish

especially cause we're almost at the best bits of Rite of Spring

The Best Bits of Rite of Spring:

* stands digitigrade, tucks arms in against chest with two fingers out on each hand, stomps around as much as possible after hours

look I wouldn't be wobbly if I had a tail!

damnit it's too late in the evening to do stompy dances to Sacre du Printemps while stoned, while wearing nothing but a fursuit head (look it seemed appropriate for Rite of Spring)

I don't want to be rude to my neighbors

@ziphi so you remember the other day I said I'd really like to hear Cantata Profana while stoned?

So, I bet you can't guess what I'm doing now. I'm struck by how it reminds me of Rite of Spring *and* Carmina Burana - and time wise it's literally between the two. Some of atonal stuff but then chorus also reminds me of Genioh Yamashirogumi but I'd noticed that while sober.

Wrath of Khan related writing thoughts

Listening to the Wrath of Khan soundtrack, I'm reminded of how nothing in this movie makes any sense when you think about it for 15 seconds, but it looks and feels so right that you buy it. This time, how Federation programs have a "backdoor;" reasonable, if not a mainstream concept in the early 80s, but Kirk only exploits it *after* they've otherwise written themselves into a corner. But there's all the other stuff; the parasite's life cycle which doesn't seem to depend on a predator like you'd think logical for something that really hampers a prey animal; the incredibly dangerous thing Spock winds up fixing, which is for some reason in a clear casing right in the middle of engineering; warships wading through space into broadside range like it's 1810. I think what's going on is that the writing hits the *exact* sweet spot of *possibility*. By comparison to say, Rise of Skywalker in which everything looks great, makes no sense if you think about it for 15 seconds, and yet it doesn't work.

* very Ricardo Montalban voice *

On earth, 300 years ago, I was a prince. And I was funky.

they cut it from the theatrical release, but right before he beams down to the surface of Ceti Alpha V, there's an extreme close up of the phaser hanging at Checkov's hip, the same gun which he pulls on Kirk and which Kirk uses to destroy the parasitoid alien in Act III of The Wrath of Khan.

a secret government experiment to combine The Munsters, Gilligan's Island, and original Trek to create a show which has only ever existed as reruns, the ultimate rerun

"I could use the leftover shrimp and the leftover ham to make a big incredibly traffe omelette but thanks to lactose intolerance I don't have any real dairy products in the house" I think, answering the question "why DON'T I try to get into seminary and get ordained?"

the urge to scream about the usual stuff I have the urge to scream about, but since as usual it'd be 2 parts alienating to 3 parts un-noticed, it's practically not worth mentioning.

This project they have me on is deadly dull and monotonous and unfortunately like most assignments that are, there’s only one way to resolve how completely stultifying it is.

Come to furry fandom, we got dudes with more artistic abilities in their little fingers than I have in my entire body and also they make me look straight
