and, on a more personal level, I'm just now realizing "a group of people who can do whatever the hell they want because they, of course, are Good and Right and the reason they're Good and Right is that someone who likes them says they are," is very much the society I grew up in.

a government agency without any review process, which can freely destroy any records it wants to, is merely a nepotistic gang of good ol' boys who can do anything, and by all rights should not be considered a government agency.

This is completely a separate thing that pisses me off from anything these guys are doing or specious reasons for why they're doing it, but that part really pisses me off.

Today I’ve been sad off and on. The big things I accomplished were; I went to a forest I dearly love, and I read stuff I bought at last weekend’s game shop flea market. It’s weird having quiet solitary fun as my to-do list but it feels vital.

having one of those times where sure, I make drawings and even sometimes paint, which is cool I guess, and nearly everyone else seems much more technically proficient/much more liked and likable/more capable of promoting themselves, figuring out what potential customers want, and grinding out work for customers without wanting to hide from responsibility in a coffeeshop somewhere.

I swear there's a way to do capitalism as "useful economic strategy which augments government programs and community to circulate wealth and offer more options" rather than as "unquestionable religious dogma which builds arbitrary monopolies while destroying lives and the future of most species on earth."
