It doesn't help with me that a lot of the WASTE OF MONEY types mention OH THE POOR HOME OWNERS BEING SOAKED FOR PROPERTY TAXES. Being well off enough to own a house is increasingly rare, but especially where I'm currently trapped or am likely to move. It's like asking me to feel sympathy for people who drank from the Holy Grail.

It pisses me off when rich assholes diss public libraries. The community utility libraries provide include;

1) Outside of our society's constant grinding class war, y'know who else might not have money available for books or coffee whenever they want hangout space? Children, teenagers, senior citizens.

2) Having a place to go that's NOT your "home" is incredibly useful for anyone. Libraries also have A/C which works - a lot of houses and apartments don't.

And interview done. I’d like this job, even if it means staying near Oakland, but interviews aren’t a thing I feel optimistic about no matter how they go (and I didn’t get a clear read from the manager either way). I feel kinda wrecked.

since my art-for-bucks email address doubles as my political-action email address, I emailed customers then left voice mails and emailed comments for senators, left protest VM for the Israeli consulate, and signed some petitions.

All three recorded phone assessments now completed. That was nervewracking in a new and different way, but now I'm almost done for the day unless I want to hit more job boards.

then a recruiter called from "Missouri" at 6:15, and THEN I did an impromptu phone screen with an actual local person. And then I did two of five assessments potential employers require - the other 3 I can do when I have a nicer microphone setup.

Okay, I'm not sure how many jobs I put in for just now, but I feel terrible, so I'm going to hold off further applications or any of these assessments until I've had some down time preferably working on art or something that doesn't make me feel like I'm just waiting to die, and the sooner the better.
