I mean that’s how adults respond to a kid who puts information together differently and just wants to daydream, move around, make stuff or whatever when what’s desperately needed, what apparently the entire future hangs on, is for you to do math/play football/interpret data according to their subjective understanding/receive in all their material with 100% accuracy/etc. You’re stupid and that’s all there is right?

Coworker found the problem with the scanner/printer (I didn’t think paper processed through where a small piece of paper caused problems), I troubleshot a set of paperwork on the fly and created/sent stuff to 3 ships. Back to receiving a huge quantity of stuff and feeling shitty.

I feel overwhelmed and set up to fail and honestly I just want to get out of here and I don’t know what next.

extremely fucky sleep in which I was down for 5 hours straight then wide awake every 30 minutes or so, I think that's response to a weather system moving in or out.

I feel like giving bonuses to some groups rather than others is a great idea *in theory*. It's very game-y; hey, I really want my rogue to be swift and agile, so they're an elf... or alternately, with the CON bonus, my dwarf wizard can get stuck in melee combat, or my halfling can spend points on WIS knowing their DEX isn't terrible.

Which is great *if* you're not in a game where every +1 counts that much more, or if you're in a game where the GM really plays to your characters. It's like feats, prestige classes, multiclassing at higher levels, etc; in an ideal world, we'd play D&D games that rewarded quirkiness which wasn't an immediate in game advantage.

But sadly D&D games where you need to feel effective are part of the world not being ideal. Which means the best way the rules can even that out is to offer an even playing field, stat wise.

sadly I wasn't able to use up all the sauerkraut but dinner today used up the last beet-fennel soup and ggakdugi and clear that out of the 'fridge.
