Today’s just feeling awful.

Today’s one of those days where, if by just wanting it you could have a massive stroke or aneurysm and punch out quickly and honorably, I wouldn’t be around this evening. We don’t get that lucky, so I figure I get a walk and maybe lunch in a bit and tread water a bit longer.

oh shit folks it’s actually slow at work today somehow which means I have time to feel shit like anger and loss. And given that I’ve been better about self hate that means I am angry at landlords, Christians and Republicans in general, and my parents, none of which I can do anything about.

Other reasons I can’t really give for skipping work include “want a bowl of menudo,” “burned out by country’s continuing shift towards overt fascism,” and “have not had a full day off other than weekends since New Year’s.”

oooh, Memorial Day. The holiday about people who died in the military, unlike Veteran's Day which is a general people who served in the military and Independence Day which is about how you should serve in the military. Oh and you might get one or two days off for Jesus. You don't get a day off to vote. It's good to know where a country's priorities lie.

"192 Republicans" okay it's the House vote today only. I was about to say that's a low estimation of Republican politicians running this country, when you count in the 50 senators and 6 Supreme Court judges.

I was raised with the ideal of being married with kids and a house AND working a job I’d feel passionate about, related to what I did in college. Not unusual I know. But, like realizing I might never be married/SHOULD not be a parent/will never be able to afford a house on my own, I’m now realizing that what I’m passionate about is art and pursuing that would require a well off SO with the patience of a saint, more support than my parents have or will ever provide, or a day job.
