So. Jimmy Doolittle, basically the first USAAF pilot to fly by instruments only, led Doolittle raid etc.

It turns out that during Big Week in February’44, upgraded Fw 190s were particularly effective against American bombers and Doolittle revised fighter tactics as a forward screen to hit fighters, then had them trail returning bombers enough to hit the less maneuverable 190s from behind. So he came up with and implemented a response *within one week*. That’s impressive.

Yesterday my mind was full of really dark thoughts because I was low on sleep. Today I slept okay and my mind is full of dark thoughts b/c I honestly don’t want to be here and I’m worried about getting sick.

Honestly I want to make money drawing, but I have nearly no idea how to even try, it can hit my not good enough buttons, and don’t feel I could make enough to live on. Same as last year. As five years ago. Probably as next year. It’s disheartening.

My boss caught whatever his daughter brought home and is masked, but coughing etc, and he doesn’t seem like the sort to risk passing on Covid to my older coworkers, but he is workaholic enough to be here, and so my paranoia is through the roof. I don’t even like having a cold!

Another thing I hate about this whole succession thing is, not only can the establishment use not being able to say a bad thing about Elizabeth to bludgeon down any objections to Britain falling apart at the seams, but because he's fairly old, we've not long before Charles passes on, and then they'll be able to use *that* to silence opposition as well.
